Gili Meno

Yo Peeps, haven't been active for a while. I've had the best time ever!! Let me show you..

Where it all started:

I went from Mataram to the Bangsal harbor. There I took the fast boat to Gili Meno. There are actually two types of transportations.

The local ferry has two departures from Bangsal - Gili's. 8AM and 2PM.

You pay only 25k (CHF 1.40).

The fast boat goes each hour and you pay between 150k - 200k (CHF 8.30-CHF 11.-)

It's worth going with the local ferry, the only disadvantage is the departure times.

The smallest of all islands is Gili Meno, I wanted to visit this island bc people told me that it has less tourists than the other islands. (Gili Air, Gili T). Until I got there I didn't realise, that Gili Meno is a honeymoon island. lol

Sounds kinda boring but I really enjoyed it.

The beaches were amazing and it took me around one hour to walk around the island, just going along the beach.

I'm always looking for the cheapest hostels or Airbnb's. The cheaper my home, the longer my traveljourney! Bc of this, I decided to live in an AirBnB. It was a cute Bungalow, 2 min walk to the beach.

Some recommendations:

If you're interested in scuba diving I highly recommend the "Meno Dive Club", it is right next to the harbor. The staff is very funny, they're doing an amazing job and the team spirit is just the way it's supposed to be.

If you're interessted in joining an hostel to meet a lot of people, I recommend "the rabbit tree". This is a very unique hostel, a lot of travelers and backpackers go there. It's good located and they offer some very cool activities to join. I've been there for dinner and I could also give my laundry to them (paid). Sunset boat trip is a must by the way!

Gili Meno is amazing if you want to slow down. It offers you a lot of water activities such as snorkeling and diving. You can make daytrips to Gili Air and Gili T. If you're looking for some more party Gili T will be your Go2. All the people I've met love the Gili's!
