Komodo Boat Trip

Hi loves!

I've done the Komodo Boat Trip & it's so far one of the best things I've done here in Indonesia (eventho I can't compare any experience with another).

The tour I've done was 4 days, 3 nights & this has been the offer from the company:

Day 1.  START MEETING POINT  

We met at the New Taman Sari restaurant

The scedual for the day has been: (Bangsal, north Lombok) – Lombook Kayangan – Kenawa

island – sleep next to bola island

We gathered between 8:30 – 10:30 at New Taman Sari Resto and we were waiting for everyone to arrive and check- in. Then we drove to the harbour of East Lombok. This took us around two hours of driving.

Activities for this day were snorkeling, swimming and enjoying the sunset.

We also went for a little hike to the mountain on Kenawa island for a breathtaking view.

Day 2. WHALE SHARK POINT 

( Saleh Bay Sumbawa )

I woke up at 05:15AM to watch the sunrise (it was worth it). At 06:30AM we went to a whaleshark point to watch & swim with the whaleshark. That was very magical, I didn't expect the whaleshark to be this big. Seeing this animal so close next to me was mind blowing!!

Activities for the rest of the day were swimming , sailing, sunbathing, drawing, writing, talking, and eating. It's been "the laziest" day off all four. Most of us went to bed very early.

Day 3.  KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH –   PADAR ISLAND

We went to the Komodo island to see the Komodo dragon. The Komodo dragon only lives on this island. You're not able to see them at any other place in the world. A new friend of mine, his name is Ryan and he's from Canada, he's been in love with this animal since he's a kid. I was so happy for him that he could experience this moment. Imagine your favorite animal is living on one single island in the whole world, you've done a presentation as a eight years old boy about it and now in your twenties, you get to see this animal for the first time in your life. Must have been crazy for him. I could tell, he was the happiest person I've seen this day. Just lovely!

After this little trip we went back to the big boat and we went visiting the pink beaches. At the end of the day we went to Padar Island where we were "hiking" to see the view point.

Day 4.  LONG BEACH – KELOR ISLAND – LABUHAN BAJO (Flores)

We went snorkeling during the morning. In the afternoon we were packing our stuff and got ready to exit the boat.

The tour endet around 1-2PM.

Deck Class (3.500.000 IDR) this is the one I chose! It felt like a school trip where all the kids sleep in the same room :D

Cabin Class (4.000.000 IDR)

W H A T ‘ S    I N C L U D E D :

– Pick up Service from Mataram city, Senggigi and Bangsal Harbour. and if you stay in gili island, you can confirm to us about pick up service from bangsal harbour, we can wait your first boat at the morning.

– Shuttle bus transfer to the boat

– 3x Fresh meals a day (vegetarian options are available) with Indonesian food

– Unlimited coffee, tea and mineral water (help the environment and use a refill bottle).

B O A T     F A C I L I T Y:

– Safety Equipment (Liferaft, Life Jacket, Ring lifebouy, and ect)

– Fresh Water and simple shower

– Snorkeling gear (a masker and a snorkel), no fins

– Charging points for electronic devices

– Small boat with engine for transfer to the beach

– Cool Box with ice for your extra drink

– For deck class we have a mattress, pillow and blanket per person on a shared deck.

– For Cabin class is a private cabin with a fan for two persons including a double mattress, a pillow and a blanket per person

Boat Condition:

– Length : 20M – 25M

– Wide : 4M – 4,5M

– Engine : Yan Mar 20Hp – 30Hp

– Sail : Only to help the engine

– Crews : 5 – 6 Crews

– Boat capacity : 35 – 45 Person

Things have to carry :

– Swim cloth , Towel , sun block .

– Extra energy drinks , soft drinks and snack

– Camera

This boat trip was amazing! I met some new people and we all shared the intentions, we were connecting, we shared our travel experiences, eating hella good food and having the best times of our lives. I truly loved this adventure and I'll recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Indonesia! Especially the Padar Island with the view point was my highlight. It was my main reason why I did this tour. It was breathtaking.

After I've arrived in Flores I stayed there for 2 more nights and left the island to go to Bali. And this Island is a whole new story!
